Used this chunker for the first time on a matted doodle and the 24 teeth cut through the bulk without snagging. The Japanese steel feels solid in hand and the ergo handle kept my wrist from aching through three dogs.
The ball bearing tension makes a huge difference — the blade glides through thick coats without that dragging feeling I got from my old pair. The ergo handle fits my hand well enough that my wrist isn't sore after a full day of grooming.
The 24 teeth blend out lines nicely on thick coats and the Japanese steel still feels sharp after a few grooms. The ergo handle is comfortable for longer sessions, though it's a bit heavier than my old pair.
